Westchester Sports Car Club
Explaination of Classes
Our class structure is the same as the list in the SCCA Solo II manual. The only addition to the SCCA classes are the
indexed classes that we use to group cars and/or people of similar preparation level. The purpose of indexed classes
is to take cars of different preparation levels, and apply an index that makes them equivelent. The indexed classes
that we use are:
Novice - If you have done 3 or less events with us, you can enter as a novice.
Ladies - If you are a woman and choose not to compete in the open class.
Street Tire - If you are running a car of any preparation level, on street tires. Street tires are defined as a
tread wear rating of greater then 150.
